As CHARM continues to advance towards its mission of delivering cutting-edge label-free microscopy for biomedical innovation, we mark an important transition in leadership that has shaped both our project and its industrial impact.
Matteo, who has served dually as CEO of Cambridge Raman Imaging (CRI) and CHARM Coordinator, has announced his decision to step down from his CEO role at CRI to pursue a new professional opportunity.
Matteo’s leadership has been instrumental in translating CHARM’s research excellence into tangible, real-world applications. His dual role ensured a strong bridge between scientific discovery and industrial deployment, helping to position CRI as a dynamic example of innovation emerging directly from European research. Under his guidance, CHARM has made critical strides in technology development, clinical potential, and visibility within the scientific, clinical, and business communities.
We are pleased to share that Matteo remains an active figure within the CHARM project, continuing to provide strategic input and coordination. His role as a Non-Executive Director at CRI will further support continuity and strengthen the ongoing collaboration between academic and commercial partners.
The CHARM consortium remains strong, committed, and energized. We are proud of the work we have accomplished together under Matteo’s leadership and are confident in the project’s continuing momentum as we approach the end of the project.
